Description
Stores 54 Gallons. Ready for your gardening needs, this barrel replenishes its water supply every time it rains. You'll capture the fresh, untreated water otherwise lost to runoff.
Automatic Overflow. Nothing to watch, nothing to flip. With the addition of hose extenders, the overflow port located on the back of the barrel diverts excess rain to a garden bed, lawn percolation area, secondary barrels arranged in series, or a distant runoff area.
Child & Critter Roof Design. It's all one piece, with a closed top, so you won't need to worry about children, pets, and wildlife getting inside. Fully screened, it keeps out most insects and smelly debris.
Water Conservation. Excessive rainfall can overwhelm v-ditches, creeks and waterways. Impervious surfaces contribute to the problem by preventing water from soaking into the ground naturally. Now you can collect and store water when it is abundant, and utilize it when it is not. By serving as 'runoff reserviors' these barrels reduce public water demand during dry spells.
Versatile, Convenient. The solid brass spigot is threaded so you can attach a garden hose directly to the barrel, if desired. Dual access points are provided at two different heights for attaching the spigot to either location for easy dispensing. Includes a screened overflow port and six foot diverter hose (which can be extended to almost any length with standard sump pump hose). Water simply has to land anywhere on the recessed top surface, and it will automatically funnel into the barrel through the screened intake opening. Units can be connected in series by using the T-Connector with the overflow port located on the back of each barrel.
